Sentient: Perception
"Throughout the spring 2013 semester, The Studio for Interrelated Media (SIM) students from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, have been exploring topics of scientific inquiry and expressing their curiosities and understandings in visual, auditory, and performative modes. In less than 5 months these students collaborated on all aspects of storytelling, concept development, sound design, dome video production, and public relations to create an immersive fulldome environment exploring the creative, perceptive, and unexplored mind." -MassArt Staff
This section of Sentient titled, Perception, was a large project that SAMO collaborated on with fellow students for a class at MassArt that worked with Boston's Museum of Science to screen the work specifically for their Planetarium. He was the head animator, cinematographer, and executive editor for Perception.
Since the original screening in Spring 2013, Sentient has toured international full dome theaters in the United States, Germany, Argentina, Czech Republic, Switzerland, India, Poland, United Arab Emirates, Australia and England. To learn more about these screenings please visit the Full Dome Blog.
