SAMO was invited to create an animation piece that was a part of the Emerson Project: Uncommon Project. The project was a part of a public projection mapped canvas on the school's building which is under construction to be able to bring public art and spectacle to the busy intersection of the Boston Commons.
Specular is based off a mirror or conversation of the building looking at itself. The piece is compiled of simple color, light, and form treatments that speak to this idea and create a meditative illusion that the building is alive with an internal reflection.
The project was produced by Design Communications Ltd.
